Aaaaaahhh...the lovely Brandy. Not in the sense of looks though, she's never really done it for me in that department. Maybe it's the over-dimensional nostrils, as pictured on this remix cover to the left? I dunno...but i've always loved Brandy as an artist, ever since she dropped the original version of this very track as her debut single back in '94. Oh, and remember the "Human Rhythm Remix" with Queen Latifah, MC Lyte and Yo-Yo - how can you resist boppin' your head to that knockin' beat and that undeniable female street swagga??? That shit was epic!!
Luckily enough for me and to the envy of many, i got to meet and interview this lovely lady in person after her concert out here in Basel at the Grand Casino in May 2009 - she was so nice and down-to-earth, and DAMN!! Did she smell good!! And yes, i was a little starstruck...
Anyways, i gave this classic track a new 90's R&B-flavoured re-rub and called up my homie Craig Mack to spit a verse over it for me. Nah, i'm just playin'! He was actually the one who called me up and begged to feature on one of my remixes. Yeah ok, FINE!!! That was bullshit too!!
